The Carabao Cup Trophy Relay hit the halfway point, as a further five Clubs were ticked off the list and over 100 miles travelled on Day Three.

Chris Kamara and Darren Farley continued their tour with the famous three-handled trophy, beginning at Stoke City before heading to the midlands and culminating at the home of the 2015/16 Premier League champions, Leicester City.

The Gladstone Pottery Museum, a suitable location given Stoke City’s history, welcomed Kammy, Farley and co in the first stop of Day Three. ‘Potters’ legend Terry Conroy, who opened the scoring in the 1972 EFL Cup Final against Chelsea, was on hand to relive that special day in Stoke folklore.

A trip to the West Midlands followed, as Brian Little (Aston Villa), Graham Williams (West Brom) and John Richards (Wolves), joined Kammy and Darren on a barge at the Gas Street Basin Canal in Birmingham to celebrate their success in the competition.

The final stop on Day Three was at the winners from 2000, Leicester City. Captain, Man of the Match and two-goal hero in the Final against Tranmere Rovers, Matt Elliot, joined us to discuss the impact the Cup win had on the City, and bouncing back after defeat in the Final the previous year.
