Five EFL fixtures were played on Tuesday night. We look back on how the action unfolded here...

At the KCOM Stadium, Hull City and Barnsley shared the points, with the encounter finishing 1-1. Oli McBurnie opened the scoring for the Tykes, before the home side hit back through a second-half strike from Michael Dawson.

Billy Sharp hit a brace as Sheffield United scored three goals and took three points, in a 3-1 triumph over Reading at the Madejski Stadium. Mark Duffy found the net in between Sharp's two strikes, with Omar Richards netting for the Royals.

Blackburn Rovers moved four points clear at the top of the Sky Bet League One table, as Bradley Dack helped fire Tony Mowbray's side to a comfortable 3-0 victory at AFC Wimbledon.

In the night's other clash, Peterborough United came from behind at the ABAX Stadium to get the better of Walsall, with the hosts eventually winning 2-1, courtesy of respective goals from Omar Bogle and Jack Baldwin.

Earlier on, Bristol Rovers' meeting with Wigan Athletic was called off due to a frozen pitch.

Just one game took place in League Two and, it was eventually settled late on, as Marc McNulty's penalty sealed the points for Coventry City in a 1-0 triumph against Wycombe Wanderers.
