Round-up: Friday night EFL action

9 February 2018

Matchday 31 in the Sky Bet EFL kicked off with sole fixtures in both the Championship and League Two on Friday night.

Millwall and Cardiff City shared the points at the Den, as Neil Harris’ hosts came from behind to deny Neil Warnock’s team a victory.

Junior Hoilett gave the Bluebirds an early lead, as he found the net with a terrific strike from just outside the area.

The Lions hit back before the break though, with Lee Gregory levelling things up after Jed Wallace had delivered.

No further goals were scored in the second-half, on a night where Tim Cahill came on for his first Millwall appearance since arriving in January.

At the Cambs Glass Stadium, neither defence was breached, with Cambridge United and Lincoln City playing out a goalless draw.

It was the visitors who went the closest to making a first-half breakthrough but, despite having the ball in the net, Harry Anderson’s strike was ruled out for offside.

Barry Corr thought he’d put the U’s 1-0 up with a header, however, Imps ‘keeper Ryan Allsop was equal to it and kept the scoreline at 0-0.

That was how it would remain too, as the two teams couldn’t be separated come full-time.
