Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of Paul Heckingbottom as the club's new head coach.
Heckingbottom arrives from Yorkshire rivals Barnsley, four days after signing a new contract with the Tykes.
The 40-year-old takes over from the recently departed Thomas Christiansen, and will take charge this weekend when the Whites travel to another Yorkshire side, Sheffield United.
During his time with Barnsley, Heckingbottom guided the club to two Wembley triumphs, winning the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final and Johnstone's Paint Trophy during the 2015/16 season.
Paul Harsley will take caretaker charge at Oakwell, and Barnsley's club statement can be viewed here.
