Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month

7 December 2018

Bury manager Ryan Lowe has been named the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month for November.

Dejected over his failure to keep Bury up as caretaker last season, Lowe is showing the club were right to trust him with the post.

He has built a side full of attacking intent - his payback was 14 goals and 10 points from four games.

George Burley chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel.

He said: “Bury showed great faith in Ryan after relegation last season when they appointed him on a permanent basis following a spell as caretaker.”

Sky Sports’ EFL pundit Don Goodman said: “Lowe’s Bury side are fast becoming one of the most exciting sides to watch in the whole EFL, with players throughout the team capable of entertaining the Shakers fans.

“They’ve already notched four or more goals on six separate occasions this season, with three of those coming in November league games.

Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies said: “Ryan Lowe has done a really good job at Bury and they are well placed for a big promotion push.

“The Shakers won three and drew the other in November and are coming out really well on shot data and so we will be keeping them onside going forward.

“Sky Bet make them 11/2 for the league title and they are as short as 8/15 for promotion.”

The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
