For the first time this season, three men from one club are included in the EFL Team of the Week after a stunning Championship display.
Here's the third selection of the 2018/19 campaign...
Ben Alnwick: Reading 0-1 Bolton Wanderers
Bolton remained unbeaten with a 1-0 win at the Madejski, and they had Alnwick to thank for a couple of superb stops to deny the hosts.
Bryan Oviedo: Sunderland 3-0 Scunthorpe United
Oviedo wasn’t made to work too hard defensively in a comfortable home win, but he showed his class going forward by setting up two of the three goals at the Stadium of Light.
Kyle McFadzean: Burton Albion 1-0 Doncaster Rovers
A man-mountain of a display from McFadzean, who snuffed out the threat of the visitors and made a crucial goal-line block to help get the Brewers off the mark in 2018/19.
Leon Legge: Port Vale 1-0 Crawley Town
Recalled to the starting line-up in the league, the 33-year-old’s experience told, organising the back line and delivering an oustanding display as the Valiants claimed a second successive home win.
Luke Ayling: Leeds United 2-0 Rotherham United
It’s been some time coming, but Ayling finally netted his first goal for the club in a 2-0 win for Rotherham, helping the Whites maintain their perfect start to the new season.
Siriki Dembele: Peterborough United 3-1 Luton Town
The winger was the thorn in Luton’s side, scoring a stunning solo goal and breaking clear to tee up Jason Cummings’ second as the Posh made it three wins from three.
Shaun Williams: Millwall 2-1 Derby County
Williams was the architect of Derby’s downfall at the Den; his brilliant delivery was flicked home by Jake Cooper for the opener, before his fierce drive deflected in, proving to be the game’s decisive moment.
Harvey Barnes: West Bromwich Albion 7-1 Queens Park Rangers
The first of three WBA men in this week’s selection, although they could argue a case for more — much like Leeds United last week!
Barnes continued his fine start to the season with an all-action display, breaking up play and pulling the strings for the brilliant Baggies.
Matt Phillips: West Bromwich Albion 7-1 Queens Park Rangers
One of two men to grab a brace for WBA, Phillips started the rout against his former side, and got the sixth with a well taken effort on his left foot.
Alex Fisher: Notts County 0-4 Yeovil Town
The weeekend began with a bang at Meadow Lane, and Fisher had that Friday feeling as he scored his first EFL hat-trick in a super success for the Glovers.
Jamal Lowe: Portsmouth 4-1 Oxford United
After playing a role in the first two Pompey goals, Lowe then twice got on the scoresheet himself, including a stunning solo goal to add further gloss to the victory.
Darren Moore: West Bromwich Albion 7-1 Queens Park Rangers
The manager behind the weekend’s biggest win, Moore watched on as his Baggies outfit tore apart QPR, with new signing Dwight Gayle one of the star performers who can consider themselves unfortunate to miss out on the latest Team of the Week selection.
