The draw for Round Three of the Carabao Cup has been confirmed with 16 ties selected this evening live on EFL Matters.
Hosted by David Prutton in front of a live audience of EFL supporters, former England and Arsenal legend David Seaman was joined by ex-Manchester City defender, Joleon Lescott, to conduct the draw.
Defending champions Manchester City face a trip to the Kassam Stadium against Sky Bet League One outfit Oxford United, whilst the tie of the Round Three draw comes from Anfield as eight-time winners Liverpool host Chelsea in an all Premier League affair.
Ties will be played week commencing 24 September with two matches set to be shown live on Sky Sports.
Carabao Cup Round Three Ties:
As a result of Tottenham Hotspur being drawn at home to Watford in Round Three of the Carabao Cup and due to the unavailability of Wembley Stadium and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium week commencing 24 September, the Club has applied for a special dispensation from the EFL Board to play their tie at a neutral venue.
The Board will now consider this request at its next meeting on Thursday September 6.
