Rivington and Blackrod High School, representing Bolton Wanderers, have lifted the EFL Girls Cup at Wembley Stadium.
The Rivington girls kept their cool, winning 3-1 on spot-kicks after a goalless stalemate against Gordano School, representing Bristol City in the Final for the second successive year.
Prior to the Checkatrade Trophy Final, the two schools faced off inside the national stadium, bringing an end to the tournament which started back in September, with more than 6,000 girls taking part up and down the country.

During regular time, Gordano had the clearer chances and Rivington had Shardonie Brindle to thank for keeping the scores level – the goalkeeper making a stunning save with her legs to deny the opposition in a one-on-one towards the end of the first half.
