The international break meant it was action only for Sky Bet Leagues One and Two this weekend, as they took to the field for Matchday 5.
Bradford City kicked off the EFL action in a lunchtime clash with Bristol Rovers at Valley Parade. The hosts prevailed 3-1, thanks to a predatory hat-trick from forward Charlie Wyke.

The encounter at Boundary Park between Oldham Athletic and Charlton Athletic threw up incident and excitement right from the off. The visitors eventually ran out 4-3 winners, with debutant Joe Dodoo amongst the scorers for the Addicks, whose opponents finished with 10 men, following the dismissal of Ousmane Fane.
Shrewsbury Town made it four wins from five and remained undefeated, thanks to a 2-1 away success at Gillingham - Carlton Morris and Alex Rodman the scorers for the Gills.
Scunthorpe United’s unbeaten start to the season continued too, with an 87th-minute Josh Morris free-kick securing a 1-0 win over Bury at Gigg Lane - his fourth goal in all competitions this term.
Blackpool and Walsall also picked up wins, beating AFC Wimbledon and Plymouth Argyle 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.
Grant McCann’s Peterborough United remained at the summit after drawing 0-0 away at Doncaster Rovers, while there were two more draws at Stadium MK and Roots Hall, where both Milton Keynes Dons and Oxford United, along with Southend United and Rochdale, failed to find the decisive goal.
On Sunday, Rotherham United registered a first away win since 9th April 2016, defeating Portsmouth 1-0 courtesy of Jon Taylor's first-half strike.
Shaq Coulthirst stole the show at the County Ground, netting a hat-trick in Barnet’s comprehensive 4-1 victory over Swindon Town - his first league goals this term.

Three respective first-half strikes from Paris Cowan-Hall, Anthony Stewart and Luke O’Nien set Wycombe Wanderers on their way to maximum points, as they defeated Forest Green Rovers 3-1 at Adams Park.
Three was becoming the theme of the day, with Accrington Stanley earning their third triumph of the campaign - they were 2-1 winners away at Morecambe.
Table-toppers Exeter City were made to work hard for their win against Newport County, but a Lee Holmes goal just before the hour mark proved enough for Paul Tisdale’s side.
It’s now back-to-back successes for Harry Kewell’s Crawley Town, as, after emerging triumphant at Swindon last time out, they saw off Yeovil 2-0 at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Cambridge United, Stevenage, Grimsby Town and Notts County, with a debut goal from Calum Butcher earning Mansfield Town a point at Carlisle United.
Nothing could separate Chesterfield and Coventry City, as well as Lincoln City and Luton Town - both of those games finished goalless.
