On Monday evening, Bury announced the departure of manager Lee Clark with the club sitting 23rd in Sky Bet League One.
Clark took charge at Gigg Lane back in February and helped steer the Shakers to safety, but he has only managed his side to 12 points from 16 games this term after a squad overhaul in the summer.
Assistant manager Alan Thompson has also left the club, with player-coach and fan favourite Ryan Lowe placed in interim charge.
His first test comes this Sunday, when the club travel to Woking for an FA Cup First Round tie.
