Chris Coleman has been confirmed as the new manager of Sunderland, taking over following Simon Grayson’s departure last month.
The Black Cats are currently bottom of the Sky Bet Championship with just one win to their name, and Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Millwall at the Stadium of Light saw the club set an unwanted record in English football of 20 home matches without victory.
Prior to his appointment on Wearside, Coleman enjoyed a hugely successful five-year tenure as manager of Wales, leading his nation to Euro 2016 — their first major tournament since 1958.
The 47-year-old has previous managerial experience in the EFL from his time at Coventry City, which followed roles at Fulham and Real Sociedad.
