Matchday 16 in the Sky Bet Championship got under way on Friday night, as Wolverhampton Wanderers hosted Fulham at Molineux.
The hosts emerged with a 2-0 victory, thanks to respective first-half strikes from Romain Saiss and Leo Bonatini.
They took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes, when Saiss powerfully headed Barry Douglas’ corner past David Button and into the back of the net.

Not before long, it was two. Douglas again was instrumental and, following his left-footed free-kick, Bonatini flicked the ball into the opposing corner of the goal.

There was no change before the break, as the hosts went in with their two-goal lead intact.
After the restart, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went in search of a third, and the two goalscorers had chances to double their tallies.
Fulham pushed for a route back into proceedings, but Wolves closed the game out, to extend their lead at the top to four points, ahead of the weekend’s action.
