With an international break taking place this weekend, there is no action from the Sky Bet Championship. However, fixtures are on the agenda in League One and Two. Here’s the preview…
South Yorkshire meeting at the Keepmoat
Matchday 17 in Sky Bet League One begins with a derby encounter, as Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United go head-to-head, live on Sky Sports on Saturday.
Rovers picked up three points in their most recent league outing, with a 1-0 victory at Bury, while the Millers suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Gillingham.
It’s the two clubs’ first clash in over 10 years and, on that occasion, this weekend’s hosts won out 3-2.
Hat-trick for the Cobblers?
Two successive victories have seen Northampton Town move a step closer to climbing out of the League One relegation zone, with only goal difference keeping them in the bottom four.
Next up for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side is a trip to Oxford United, who haven’t recorded a win in any of their previous three outings.
The men from Sixfields are unbeaten in their last five matches against the U’s — triumphing in three of those.
