The October nominations for Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month are...
Neil Aspin (Port Vale)
Arrived in Burslem with Vale stuck on five points from 11 games. Three wins from five League Two fixtures later, including a 1-0 triumph at promotion-chasing Exeter, and Aspin’s new team had built both its confidence and points tally.
Mark Cooper (Forest Green Rovers)
Life in the EFL didn’t seem easy with Rovers bottom in September. There was no panic from Cooper, though. A draw at leaders Notts County was followed by victories at Coventry and Stevenage, part of a 10-point haul from five games.
Nathan Jones (Luton Town)
Has built a side full of attacking intent, as shown by their 13-5 goal differential in collecting 10 points from five games. A 7-1 home win over Stevenage was followed three days later by a 4-1 victory at promotion rivals Exeter.
John McGreal (Colchester United)
Patience with his players and belief in himself have been key in quietly turning around his team’s fortunes, with an impressive October return of 10 points from five games lifting the U's to the fringes of the play-off positions.
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
