Helder Costa – Wolverhampton Wanderers (v Cardiff City) – 1st April
Now you see him, now you don’t. Costa bamboozled Cardiff’s Sean Morrison by feinting to go inside, then cutting back before simply passing the ball into the net.
Sebastien Pocognoli – Brighton & Hove Albion (v Queens Park Rangers) – 7th April
It was the audacity of Pocognoli to curl his free-kick over the wall at pace and in at the near post from the tightest of set-piece angles which made this strike so special.
Aiden McGeady – Preston North End (v Huddersfield Town) – 14th April
Collecting a pass halfway into the opposition half, McGeady only had one thought – to skip past his man and unleash a 25-yarder that arced perfectly into the top corner.

Marcus Maddison – Peterborough United (v Charlton Athletic) – 1st April
A goal befitting Maddison’s mercurial talents. Driving directly into the area, jinking this way and that, he then clipped home an exquisite lob off the underside of the bar.
Aiden O’Brien – Millwall (v Northampton Town) – 14th April
With the ball bouncing around, O’Brien seized the moment to play a one-two of headers with Ben Thompson before volleying emphatically into the roof of the net.
Kevin van Veen – Scunthorpe United (v Coventry City) – 30th April
The Dutchman pictured this goal in his head. Collecting the ball, he already knew he would take a step inside and send a gorgeous 20-yard curler inside the far post.

James Collins – Crawley Town (v Carlisle United) – 22nd April
Shielding the ball from his marker, Collins stepped away, skipped a challenge and then unleashed a rising, unstoppable 20-yard hammerhead strike into the top corner.
Kevin Ellison – Morecambe (v Exeter City) – 22nd April
Age is no barrier to talent. Even at 38, Ellison can still time a ball exquisitely as he demonstrated by connecting perfectly with this falling volley to a long angled cross.
Jordan Moore-Taylor – Exeter City (v Doncaster Rovers) – 29th April
A free-kick routine straight off the training ground ended with Moore-Taylor striking the ball so sweetly with his left foot that the ball was still rising as it flew into the net.
