Sky Bet EFL: Midweek round-up

21 March 2017

Five fixtures provided 20 goals on an enthralling evening of EFL action, including a cracker in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Bolton Wanderers cemented second place in Sky Bet League One with a fine victory away at Oxford United in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The Trotters raced into a two-goal lead, but the hosts kept themselves in it, pulling it back to 2-1 and 3-2, before Josh Vela sealed the win late on.

Millwall were another side to hit the front early, but their 2-0 advantage was wiped out by Rochdale, who took the lead through Callum Camps. However, Jed Wallace replied to earn the Lions a point.

In the night’s other game, bottom club Coventry City picked up a vital three points at home to fellow strugglers Port Vale, running out 2-1 winners at the Ricoh Arena.
