Sky Bet Championship - February Goal of the Month nominations:

Almen Abdi (Sheffield Wednesday) v Nottingham Forest – 18th February

Sprinting forward to join the attack, Abdi watched the ball drop to him on the edge of the area to strike a sweet volley that flew past Forest keeper Jordan Smith.

Jonny Howson (Norwich City) v Nottingham Forest – 11th February

When a corner was headed out, Howson cleverly judged the ball’s looping trajectory to send a technically perfect volley into the top corner off the outside of his right foot.

Michael Kightly (Burton Albion) v Norwich City – 18th February

Two impeccable touches saw Kightly cushion a dropping through ball past Norwich defender Russell Martin before chipping keeper John Ruddy with a first-time half-volley.

Sky Bet League One - February Goal of the Month nominations:

Rob Hall (Oxford United) v Swindon Town – 5th February

Goals in derbies are always memorable. Hall’s was even more special as he danced past two defenders before unleashing an unstoppable dipper into the roof of the net.

Erhun Oztumer (Walsall) v Bolton Wanderers – 11th February

The ‘Turkish Messi’ lived up to his nickname with this one. Spotting Bolton keeper Ben Alnwick off his line, he whipped home an impudent 40-yard looping volley.

Andrew Tutte (Bury) v Chesterfield – 18th February

Picking the ball up in midfield, Tutte only had one thing in his mind – a 30-yard piledriver into the corner that Chesterfield keeper Thorsten Stuckmann could only watch.

Sky Bet League Two - February Goal of the Month nominations:

Paul Mullin (Morecambe) v Leyton Orient – 7th February

There seemed no danger when Mullin collected a bouncing ball with three defenders around him. That was until his sweet turn and deliciously curling 25-yard shot.

Josh Payne (Crawley Town) v Wycombe Wanderers – 25th February

It was not just the accuracy of Payne’s stunning 30-yard free-kick into the top corner which left fans gasping, but the arrowhead speed at which it flew over the wall.

Gary Roberts (Portsmouth) v Carlisle United – 25th February

Collecting a Michael Doyle pass, Roberts rode challenges as he set himself to brilliantly flick home a shot off the outside of his left boot in the vital promotion clash.
