The 2017/18 EFL season is in sight, and this week saw a vast number of clubs get back to work as pre-season training got under way.
For now, it's a case of fitness first, and Charlton Athletic's players were put through their paces with the dreaded bleep test, which was available to watch via the club's Facebook page.
Striker Nicky Ajose was among the best of the bunch, but even he was no match for 20-year-old Academy graduate Aaron Barnes, who claimed the crown.
Aaron Barnes wins this year's bleep test, finishing just ahead of Nicky Ajose, Ahmed Kashi and Brandon Hanlan.

Swindon Town were another side being whipped into shape on day one, with the squad put through some intense circuit sessions under the watchful eye of new boss David Flitcroft.

The Great British sunshine had departed by midweek, but that was of no concern for Queens Park Rangers, who flew out to Portugal to get their 2017/18 preparations under way. Jamie Mackie has been letting fans back home know what the #RsInPortugal have been up to with his daily diary.

Peterborough United are another side kicking off their training abroad, and they were joined at their Spanish camp by Jack Marriott, who was unveiled as a Posh player on Wednesday after making the switch from Luton Town.

Last but not least, a word for Bury's Zeli Ismail. Not only did his Thursday morning exercise begin earlier than planned, he also faces an extra mile's walk when he's done!
