The nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award for December 2016.Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers)
Led his side through a second successive stellar month. They collected 10 points from four games, three of them away. Most impressive of all was coming back from 3-1 down at leaders Plymouth Argyle on Boxing Day to salvage a draw.
Shaun Derry (Cambridge United)
A second straight winning month lifted his side into the Play-Off places. Encourages his side to go forward, something they did to devastating effect in the 5-0 win at Hartlepool United, part of a 10-point haul from four matches.
John McGreal (Colchester United)
With his side sliding down the table, he demonstrated his bravery in December, switching to three at the back and making positive, early substitutions when needed. Ten points from four games are proof that both ploys worked.
Paul Tisdale (Exeter City)
His side began December just above the relegation places. Worse still, they hadn’t won at St James’ Park. Ten points from four games and a first home win later, they are now in Play-Off contention, due reward for Tisdale’s patience.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
