Doncaster Rovers extended their lead at the top of Sky Bet League Two with a 3-1 victory over Portsmouth.
John Marquis struck a goal in both halves, either side of a Tommy Rowe effort, while Kal Naismith initially pulled Portsmouth levelled before the break.Sky Bet Man of the Match Marquis got the hosts off the mark when he headed home a James Coppinger cross, but Pompey's equaliser came when Naismith kept his cool with a low finish.
Rowe rifled into the top corner to complete a flowing Rovers move to make it 2-1, before Marquis sealed the victory with a crisp volley - his 13th EFL goal of the season.
Portsmouth had further chances but Doncaster goalkeeper Marko Marosi stood firm, before he was withdrawn through injury.
The victory moved Darren Ferguson’s men four points clear of second-placed Plymouth Argyle ahead of the weekend’s Sky Bet League Two action.
