Sky Bet League Two: Matchday 31 preview

14 February 2017

All 24 Sky Bet League Two teams are in action this evening - the perfect Valentine's Day gift!

And, as an extra special treat, there's a clash from the top of the table as league leaders Doncaster Rovers travel to third-placed Carlisle United.

Sat in between the pair are Plymouth Argyle, who welcome the struggling Leyton Orient to Home Park.

It remains tight in the chase for the Play-Offs with just five points separating Luton Town in fourth and Colchester United in ninth.

The Hatters, along with Portsmouth, Mansfield Town and the aforementioned U's, are at home this evening, while Wycombe Wanderers and Exeter City are on their respective travels to struggling Crewe Alexandra and Notts County.

At the bottom, Newport County are bidding to make it six games unbeaten when they face Grimsby Town at Rodney Parade.

Referees: See who's been appointed for this evenings fixtures

Five facts

1. Play-Off chasing Colchester have never tasted victory against Crawley. From their eight previous fixtures, they've drawn four and lost four.

2. Mansfield are a team in fine form, but their record at home to Accrington is not so impressive - the Stags have lost their last four home fixtures against the Lancashire outfit.

3. The last five fixtures between Morecambe and Barnet have produced 20 goals, at an average of four per game. Will the pair score again this Valentine's Day?

4: Gary Johnson takes charge of Cheltenham Town for the 100th time tonight. His record so far is, won 44, drawn 26, lost 29.

5. Tonight sees Stevenage and Cheltenham face off for the 10th time, with the pair tied on three wins each and four draws. The pair have spent Valentine's Day together once before - a 1-1 draw in 1998.
