Huddersfield Town closed the gap on second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion to four points by beating Reading 1-0.

The Terriers had to wait until the 82nd minute for a breakthrough against the fourth-placed Royals, but they got it thanks to Philip Billing.

Fellow promotion-chasers Sheffield Wednesday suffered a home defeat, going down 2-1 at the hands of Brentford, while QPR made it back-to-back wins by beating Wigan Athletic 2-1.

The match between Derby and Burton ended goalless, while there was more midweek action 24 hours later when Bristol City hosted Fulham.

The visitors made it three straight wins thanks to goals either side of the break from Lucas Piazon and Tom Cairney, keeping the Cottagers in touch with the Play-Off positions.
