EFL: Divisional seasons table

1 February 2017

The Sky Bet League One campaign is a familiar sight for Oldham Athletic, who are currently embarking on their 20th consecutive season in the third tier.

The Latics were relegated to the division in 1997, and have sat there since with an average position of 14th.

Ipswich Town are the next closest in terms of remaining in the same league, having been Sky Bet Championship regulars for the past 14 terms.

Next come Accrington Stanley, who have failed to escape Sky Bet League Two in any of the previous 10 seasons — although they were just minutes away from automatic promotion in 2015/16.

Sheffield United are regularly in the League One promotion shake-up with an average position of sixth.

They sit second this time around, and are looking in good shape to earn promotion and avoid a seventh successive season in the division.
