The November nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:
Graham Alexander (Scunthorpe United)
A perfect month for Alexander’s team who extended their winning streak to six League One games with four victories in November. Organised his side superbly, as evidenced by the fact that they conceded just one goal.
Kenny Jackett (Portsmouth)
A momentous month all round for Jackett who signed a contract extension to stay in charge at Fratton Park until 2021 and guided his side to three wins from four games as they moved into the promotion picture.
Tony Mowbray (Blackburn Rovers)
The circumspect nature of Rovers’ play earlier in the season was abandoned in November as Mowbray challenged his side to outscore the opposition. They did it in style, winning all four games with a thrilling 13-5 goal differential.
Jon Whitney (Walsall)
Calling out your players in public tests the bond between a manager and his players. Whitney trusted his team to respond to their recent slide in the right way and cajoled them to turn their form around with six points from three games.
Winners will be announced on Friday 8th December
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
