The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for March 2017.Steve Bruce (Aston Villa)
As his transfer window signings bedded in and team cohesion improved, Bruce’s side registered three 2-0 victories out of their four March games, calmed nerves at Villa Park and moved into a comfortable mid-table position.
Lee Johnson (Bristol City)
Not swayed from his beliefs by the pressure of a relegation battle, his reward was eight points and three clean sheets from four games. A vital victory at Wigan was followed by a fluid 4-0 home win over promotion-chasing Huddersfield.
Paul Lambert (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Three successive wins to close out March, which included victories in west London at Fulham and Brentford, lifted Wolves out of the relegation spots and vindicated Lambert’s trust in his side to turn good performances into points.
Garry Monk (Leeds United)
Guided his side unbeaten through an awkward-looking fixture list to collect eight points and maintain Leeds’ promotion push. A series of solid defensive displays saw only two goals conceded while promotion rivals Brighton were beaten 2-0.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
