Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month nominations - August 2016

6 September 2016

The nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for August 2016.

James Coppinger (Doncaster Rovers)

Coppinger began the season back to his dynamic best, tirelessly roaming the midfield for his team. Handed the captain’s armband, he scored a superb equaliser in the draw with Crawley, which was one of two August goals to go with three assists.

Brennan Dickenson (Colchester United)

Released by Gillingham in the summer, Dickenson has become a firm favourite in Essex already with three goals and an assist in his first five games. He loves to attack full-backs and fire over crosses as much as he relishes scoring himself.

Alex Kiwomya (Crewe Alexandra)

A substitute in the first two games, the 20-year-old has quickly established himself at Crewe with his direct running at opposition players. Kiwomya's exciting dribbling skills and confident finishing saw him score stunning individual goals at Stevenage and Newport County.

Barry Roche (Morecambe)

Roche is the solid foundation upon which Morecambe’s rise to the top of Sky Bet League Two was based. Outstanding against Yeovil and Accrington, he eclipsed those performances with a series of breathtaking saves in the 2-0 win over Portsmouth.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
