Sky Bet League Two: Matchday 10 preview

27 September 2016

There's a full compliment of fixtures from Sky Bet League Two this Tuesday evening, with thrills and spills expected.

Second-placed Portsmouth travel to Blackpool in search of their first away win. They picked up a 5-1 home victory at the weekend, and will be looking for more of the same to pile pressure on the leaders Plymouth Argyle.

The Pilgrims are also on the road on Matchday 10, facing a trip to managerless Leyton Orient, who haven't won at home since August.

Carlisle remain the only unbeaten side in Sky Bet League Two and they're hosted by fourth-placed Doncaster Rovers, who only have two home wins to their name this season.

Sky Bet League Two – Matchday 10 fixtures (7:45pm kick-off unless stated)

Tuesday 27th September 2016

Accrington Stanley v Mansfield Town
Blackpool v Portsmouth
Cambridge United v Yeovil Town
Cheltenham Town v Stevenage

Doncaster Rovers v Carlisle United
Exeter City v Notts County
Grimsby Town v Newport County
Hartlepool United v Luton Town

Five facts

1. Carlisle's current unbeaten EFL run is their third longest in the club's history. They need to make it beyond 13 games to surpass their current record.

2. Blackpool are without a win against Portsmouth in 12 meetings. Their last triumph against Pompey was a 5-0 victory in October 1973.

3. Carlisle and Doncaster have not played out a draw since 1996 - that's just one game from their last 10 meetings resulting in a stalemate.

4. Crawley Town and Colchester United meet for just the seventh time in an EFL fixture, with the U's yet to register a win.

5. If Mansfield fail to beat Accrington Stanley this evening, it'll be 10 winless games against the Lancashire outfit for the Stags.
