EFL: Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler to take up FA role

Millwall Football Club have announced that their Chief Executive and EFL Board member Andy Ambler will be leaving The Den to take up a prestigious new position with The Football Association.

He will step into the role of Head of Professional Game Relations.

Ambler, who has spent almost a decade at the South London club, said: "Millwall is a fantastic football club and I have been very proud to have represented it during my time at The Den.
 
"Over the next few weeks I will be working tirelessly to ensure that the transition period leading to the arrival of my successor is a smooth one. The club is in a very healthy state with an excellent chairman who remains as dedicated and committed as ever.”
 
Ambler will remain an EFL Board member until he officially leaves the Club or ceases to be a director.
