Norwich City moved above Huddersfield Town and to the top of the Sky Bet Championship on Matchday 12.
The Canaries took pole position courtesy of a 3-1 win over Rotherham, a scoreline which was matched by Newcastle, who also climbed above the Terriers.Alex Neil's men maintained their position at the summit after Huddersfield saw their 100 per cent home record ended on Sunday, as Sheffield Wednesday stole all three points thanks to a Fernando Forestieri penalty.
Goalless stalemates occurred at Ewood Park and the DW Stadium, with Blackburn and Wigan being respectively held by Ipswich and Burton.
That wasn't the case at Oakwell, where Fulham came from behind twice to eventually overcome Barnsley 4-2.
Neil Warnock made a winning start to his Cardiff career on Friday night, and Steve McClaren followed suit by guiding Derby to a 1-0 win over Leeds. Steve Bruce couldn't match the pair, as Aston Villa shared the spoils with Wolves.
QPR and Reading also drew 1-1, while Preston snatched a late point at Brighton, drawing 2-2.

Scunthorpe United extended their lead at the top of Sky Bet League One, coming from a goal down to beat MK Dons 2-1.
Bradford's 12-game unbeaten run came to an end in dramatic fashion as Chris Maguire's late goal handed Oxford a 1-0 win. There were also late victories for Walsall and Bristol Rovers, who overcame Shrewsbury and Gillingham respectively.
There were much more straightforward successes for Sheffield United and Charlton Athletic, who won 4-0 and 3-0, while Bolton, Fleetwood and Rochdale all triumphed 2-0 – the latter recording a sixth straight success.
Millwall recorded the day's only away win, defeating Northampton 3-1, Southend edged past Chesterfield, while AFC Wimbledon and Swindon shared the spoils at Kingsmeadow, with Lawrence Vigouroux's penalty save proving vital for the Robins.

A dramatic afternoon at Home Park saw the points shared between Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth in Sky Bet League Two.
Pompey took a late lead through Danny Rose, only for Connor Smith to equalise and secure a 2-2 draw for the division's leaders.
Doncaster took advantage, closing the gap at the top with a win over Colchester, while Carlisle extended their unbeaten run in style, defeating Hartlepool 3-2 despite going down to 10 men.
Luton are up to fourth after condemning Leyton Orient to defeat, while Grimsby, Stevenage and Exeter joined them in picking up three points on their travels – the Grecians thumping Barnet 4-1 at The Hive.
Accrington overcame Blackpool thanks to Rommy Boco's late brace in the first EFL meeting between the pair, and there was to be no dream start for Graham Westley who watched his Newport side fall to a 1-0 loss at Yeovil.
Elsewhere, Cheltenham defeated Crawley 2-1, while it was 1-1 in the games between Mansfield and Wycombe and Notts County versus Crewe.
