Barnsley's Adam Armstrong, AFC Wimbledon's Dom Poleon and Accrington Stanley's Paddy Lacey are the Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month winners for September 2016.
Adam Armstrong - (Barnsley) v Preston North End
Barnsley striker Adam Armstrong is the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month winner for September, receiving 44 per cent of the public vote.
This was a superb goal from Armstrong on his Barnsley debut.
A fantastically improvised piece of skill left Preston defender Alex Baptiste for dead, before Armstrong finished with a curling effort into the far corner.
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: ‘’You couldn’t see a better debut goal anywhere in the world than Adam Armstrong’s for Barnsley.
“It was a goal borne from the confidence he’s taken from his superb goal-scoring loan spell at Coventry City, where he showed what an instinctive finisher he is.
“Alex Baptiste is no slouch, but the pace that Armstrong showed was really impressive.
“The skill involved is out of this world and had it been Messi or Ronaldo, this goal would be global already.
“If he continues in this vein, it won’t be long before Rafa Benitez demands his return to Newcastle.’’
Armstrong said: “I’m delighted to win the award. It happened on my debut as well which makes it even more special and it’s definitely up there with one of my best goals.
"Conor Hourihane picked the ball up and I just thought I’ve got to make a run because we’re on the front foot and looking to grab the winner.
"I managed to chase it down, turn the defender and put it in. I really enjoyed celebrating that one right in front of our travelling fans.
“I’m loving it here at Barnsley. Coming in on loan and adapting to a new environment has been massive for my development.
"All of the lads are great, we’ve had a strong start to the season and it’s a really positive place to be at the moment. We’ll keep working hard every day to keep the wins coming and I feel we can go a long way this season.
“To win the award represents a big moment in my career so far - so thanks to all the fans who voted for my goal. It means a lot and hopefully it's one of many more to come this season!"
Armstrong beat off competition from Blackburn’s Danny Graham and QPR’s Tjaronn Chery.

Dom Poleon - (AFC Wimbledon) v Charlton Athletic
AFC Wimbledon winger Dom Poleon is the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month winner for September, receiving 41 per cent of the public vote.
This stunning effort from Wimbledon new-boy Dom Poleon included not one but two nutmegs on its way to the back of the net.
His slaloming run left Chris Solly behind, before he slotted it through the legs of the advancing Declan Rudd.
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “‘Poleon is a man who is undergoing a rebuilding job with his career, which didn’t take off at Leeds United the way many of us thought it would, but goals like this will help propel him into the limelight!
“A goal that has everything in terms of dribbling at pace with quick enough feet to bamboozle not one but two defenders, then the acceleration to get to the ball before an onrushing goalkeeper and the calmness to poke the ball into the net under the diving keeper. Top goal.’’
Poleon said: "I remember Dannie Bulman giving the ball to me and I just thought I would try and get at them. I saw there was two of them and I managed to do a bit of happy feet to get through the middle, before toe-poking it underneath the keeper. We happened to win as well so that was good.
“As a striker you want to try and score goals, but more importantly I'm happy that we got the result. I scored a screamer last season against Sheffield United, but this is up there and maybe my second best goal."
Poleon beat off competition from Peterborough’s Marcus Maddison and Bristol Rovers' Matty Taylor.

Paddy Lacey - (Accrington Stanley) v Portsmouth
Accrington Stanley winger Paddy Lacey is the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month winner for September, receiving 46 per cent of the public vote.
It was a superb 25-yard strike into the top corner after bringing a loose ball down in midfield.
Lacey was on the spin as he hit the ball, which looped over the goalkeeper and nestled in the top right corner, securing the three points for Stanley.
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “At first glance this looks like a typical long-range hit-and-hope attempt from Lacey, but what makes it really impressive is the composure he shows.
“Lacey controls the ball with his left foot and, whilst under pressure, does a full 360 degree turn to take him away from an onrushing defender before finding the pace, trajectory and accuracy from distance to beat a keeper who had a good starting position and find the top corner.
“He’ll do well to score a more spectacular goal in his career.”
Lacey said: “I was a bit surprised to be nominated because I’d seen some good goals over the course of the month, so it was nice and I’m really happy to have gone on to win it.
“I think my mum will take this off me and put it on the mantelpiece. I don’t think I’ll be keeping it. It’ll be there forever to remind me of my League Two debut.
“I just want to say thanks very much to everyone that voted. I’m made up to have won. There were two other great goals from teams with big fan bases in Portsmouth and Blackpool. To all the Stanley fans that voted – ta very much!”
Lacey beat off competition from Portsmouth’s Gary Roberts and Blackpool’s Colin Daniel.
