Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month nominations - September 2016

6 October 2016

The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for September 2016.

Tammy Abraham (Bristol City)

The 19-year-old is showing maturity beyond his years with a positional sense and ability to sniff out a chance that are innate. Quick on the turn and a breath of fresh air in the Sky Bet Championship, he popped up with another four goals in five September games.

Shane Duffy (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Duffy followed up a horrific month at Blackburn Rovers with an outstanding one at Brighton, making a valuable contribution to four clean sheets in five games. Strong in the tackle, dominant aerially, he also impressed with his distribution.

Scott Hogan (Brentford)

Now restored to full fitness, the 24-year-old is beginning to realise the potential that was evident at Rochdale. His movement and intelligence is exceptional and underpinned his six goals in five games, including a hat-trick against Preston North End.

Jacob Murphy (Norwich City)

Finally given his chance at Carrow Road after loan spells at six different clubs, the 21-year-old has blossomed this season. An inventive livewire always prepared to take players on, he contributed four goals in five September games.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
