Rafael Benitez (Newcastle United)Benitez understands that style is important on Tyneside and he has assembled a side which notched up 13 goals in five games while collecting 10 points. The highlights included a 6-0 win at QPR and a 4-3 comeback victory over Norwich.
Carlos Carvalhal (Sheffield Wednesday)
Overcoming Play-Off Final disappointment isn’t easy, but his calm assurance has spread to his players. Among their four wins in five games were thrilling comeback home victories over Wigan, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
Alex Neil (Norwich City)
Determined to rebound from last season’s relegation in style. The emphasis he places on attack saw Norwich score at least two goals in every September game, winning four out of five to move into the automatic promotion places.
Jaap Stam (Reading)
Sticking to your beliefs is an important trait in a manager. Stam’s focus on a possession-based game may not have won the Reading faithful over just yet, but a haul of 10 points from five games proves that it is working.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
