The nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for October 2016.John Akinde (Barnet)
Akinde’s bulldozing presence up front and calmness in front of goal accounted for half of his side’s 10 goals in October, notably his brace which rescued a 2-2 at struggling Newport.
Graham Carey (Plymouth Argyle)
Three goals, including a lovely 20-yard strike against Yeovil, and five assists in the month for Argyle’s midfield playmaker. Plays with a freedom that allows him to slow down and control the game for the league leaders.
Jason Kennedy (Carlisle United)
In the goalscoring form of his life, he found the net five times in five October games, the highlight of which was an overhead kick against Morecambe. Always a box-to-box midfielder, he has improved the timing of his runs into the area.
Will Norris (Cambridge United)
The 23-year-old has made a name for himself as a penalty stopper this season. He saved three in October - two within 90 injury-time seconds to preserve a 2-1 win over Accrington and then another the following week in a 1-1 draw at Blackpool.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
