Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “As team goals go, this is up there with the very best.
“What an incredible start to the match for all of your players to have touched the ball, with 20 consecutive passes and be 1-0 up within one minute.
“Perez’s finish looked easy, but that technique, with the ball coming down across his body is harder than it seems and the power that he got behind the shot left the keeper with absolutely no chance."
Perez beat off competition from Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia and Norwich City’s Wes Hoolahan.
Erhun Oztumer – (Walsall) v Swindon Town
Walsall midfielder Erhun Oztumer is the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month winner for October, after receiving 57% of the public vote.
Oztumer impressively read the play, intercepted the pass and spotted the goalkeeper off his line before driving the ball over him from 40 yards.

Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “For me the vision is what makes this goal so great.
"His reading of the game is up there with the best to latch onto the loose pass before the pinpoint strike to beat the keeper from nearly 50 yards out.
“Lawrence Vigouroux, the Swindon 'keeper, isn’t even too far out of position, but the power and trajectory of the shot left him stranded."
Oztumer said: “I’m delighted to accept the award, not just for me but on behalf of my team-mates as well.
“It was a memorable goal. I just remember their right-back trying to pass the ball in inside and I’ve read it early, took a touch and seen the goalkeeper off his line.
“I just thought I’d give it a try and luckily it’s gone in. To be honest I thought the second one in the game was potentially better because of the pass from Kevin Toner but I’ll take this one!
“It’s the third time this season that I’ve tried to pull it off from that sort of range so I’m glad one of them came off.
“It ranks right up there in terms if the goals I’ve scored. I’ve never scored from that distance before and possibly won’t again so it’s definitely one I won’t forget.”
Oztumer beat off competition from Peterborough’s Chris Forrester and Bristol Rovers' Matty Taylor.
Luke Joyce – (Carlisle United) v Crawley Town
Carlisle United midfielder Luke Joyce is the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month winner for October, after receiving 53% of the public vote.
Joyce brought the ball down from Andre Blackman’s defensive header and unleashed a fierce drilled strike into the top left corner of the goal, via the Crawley bar.

Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “Joyce doesn’t score many by his own admission but this is one that any player would remember for a long time.
"The first touch tees it up perfectly, and the strike is unstoppable.
“I always think it’s better when a long-range strike cannons in off the bar and this one is a real classic of the genre!"
Joyce said: “I’m chuffed to bits to win the award. I was chuffed with the goal itself, and to get rewarded with this as well is brilliant.
“When there’s something voted for by the fans, it’s that bit more special. To be top of the vote feels really good.
“It’s got to be up there with the best goals I’ve ever scored. To hit it from that distance and see it sail in and hit the top corner off the bar, I was chuffed to bits.”
Joyce beat off competition from Cambridge United’s Luke Berry and Hartlepool United’s Nathan Thomas.
