Millwall and Bradford City meet in the last of the Play-Off Semi-Finals tonight with one aim – achieving a trip to Wembley Stadium.
The Friday night fixture at The Den kicks off at 7:45pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports, and the hosts hold a commanding 3-1 lead from Sunday's first leg at Valley Parade.A Play-Off veteran with the club, Lions' boss Neil Harris knows just how important the home fans can be in helping Millwall finish the job and reach the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off Final.
“Some of the best games I played in for Millwall were the home Play-Off legs,” Harris told the club's official website. “They are games which stick in my mind because they were special nights and I want my players to experience and enjoy an atmosphere like that.
“If the place is rocking and the players embrace that, then we have an opportunity to create a really special atmosphere.
“A full house at The Den, when the stadium is rocking, is a very difficult place for an opposing team to play, no matter how much they try to. From a Millwall player's perspective it is a fantastic feeling.”
However, Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson is planning on using that big crowd to their advantage, as the Bantams bid to turn the tie around.
“Millwall will be looking to use the home crowd to their advantage but we have to try and turn that against them,” Parkinson said, speaking to bradfordcity.co.uk.
“We need to create a nervousness on the pitch and in the ground. The way we do that is by the manner of our performance. There is no pressure on us – everyone has written us off already.
“History tells us that this club has spirit, determination and a never-say-die attitude. We have worked extremely hard to get into this position – we have to give it everything we've got to make it to Wembley.”
