Millwall completed the Sky Bet Play-Offs line-up for Bank Holiday weekend at Wembley this month, defeating Bradford City 4-2 on aggregate.
Drawing 1-1 on the night following their 3-1 win at Valley Parade last Sunday, the Lions will now face Barnsley in the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off Final on Sunday 29th May.Carrying a two-goal cushion ahead of the return leg at The Den, striker Lee Gregory looked to have made sure of things when he opened the scoring after 34 minutes.
But his tidy finish from outside the penalty area was canceled out on the stroke of half time, as Bradford’s Jamie Proctor hit home to draw level on the night.
The travelling Bantams - famous for their knockout football exploits - rarely threatened Millwall’s final hopes, however, with the club seeing out the match comfortably to book a fourth visit in seven seasons to the national stadium.
