Football League Chief Executive Shaun Harvey said:"The Football League determined after last season's Championship presentation to AFC Bournemouth that it wasn't appropriate for presentations to take place at opposition stadiums. Our view is the celebration deserves to be shared with as many fans as possible and not just those travelling to an away fixture.
"The presentation and celebrations at the Riverside Stadium today highlights what we would all like to achieve.
"The security staff, police and all those involved in the safety operation at the Charlton Athletic v Burnley fixture today deserve enormous credit for ensuring that the season ended at the Valley in a safe and secure manner for all those in attendance.
"We are now looking forward to ensuring Burnley's directors, management, staff, players and supporters will enjoy the presentation on Monday evening and that many more fans will be able to join in with the celebrations."
