Back-to-back wins have lifted Yeovil Town six points clear of the Sky Bet League 2 relegation zone.
The next challenge for the Glovers is Saturday's trip to Mansfield Town, and manager Darren Way is full of praise for his players for their recent performances.Read more: Sky Bet League 2 - Matchday 35 preview
Victories against relegation rivals Dagenham & Redbridge and promotion-chasing Accrington Stanley followed successive draws with Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle, and that unbeaten run has taken Yeovil from 23rd to 21st in the space of a fortnight.
All this occurred despite a viral infection tearing through the squad. However, the only contagious thing in the Huish Park dressing room right now seems to be team spirit.
"There's nothing we can do about it and I don't want no excuses, and so far the players have given themselves no excuses," Way told Glovers Player.
"We're really positive, everything's going really well, we've had some fantastic results and we're looking forward to Saturday."
The weekend poses another tough test with Mansfield one of a number of sides currently pushing for the Play-Offs. Way is full of admiration for opposite number Adam Murray, and hopes to emulate his achievements next term should Yeovil avoid a third straight relegation.
The Stags flirted with the drop last season but Murray now has his side in contention for a top-seven finish, just two points adrift in 10th. They also defeated the Glovers, then managed by Paul Sturrock, in October's reverse fixture.
"Like me, I want to build the club rather than the team. He's had the chance to do that and he's reaping the rewards," the 36-year-old boss continued.
"He knew he had to focus on the short-term last year, now he's got a chance to focus on the long-term. It's something that I want to get to, and I believe in this group that they'll be able to give me the opportunity to do that."
