Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 35 review

5 March 2016

Dagenham & Redbridge secured their first home of the season against York City but remain bottom of Sky Bet League 2.

John Still’s men beat fellow strugglers York 1-0 to move within seven points of safety. Josh Passley scored the crucial goal after Joss Labadie had seen his second-half penalty saved.

Yeovil Town extended their unbeaten run to five games following a 1-0 win at Mansfield Town, who dropped to 10th as a result.

AFC Wimbledon climbed into a Play-Off place after drawing 0-0 with Accrington Stanley, who remain eight points shy of an automatic promotion position as Oxford United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against fellow high-flyers Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

Portsmouth beat Stevenage 2-0, while Bristol Rovers defeated Notts County by the same score. Hartlepool came from 1-0 down to defeat Barnet 3-1 and top-of-the-table Northampton Town secured another emphatic win, this time away at Carlisle where they ran out 4-1 victors.

Elsewhere, Exeter City beat Cambridge United 1-0, Crawley Town drew 1-1 with Morecambe, Luton Town secured a narrow 1-0 win over Leyton Orient and Newport County beat Wycombe Wanderers 1-0.
