Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 35 preview

4 March 2016

There are huge battles taking place at both ends of Sky Bet League 2 this weekend.

It's second versus third with Plymouth Argyle hosting Oxford United, while the division's bottom two – Dagenham & Redbridge and York City – go head-to-head.

Here are the weekend's Sky Bet League 2 fixtures, all of which have a 3pm kick-off:

Saturday 5th March

AFC Wimbledon v Accrington Stanley
Barnet v Hartlepool United
Cambridge United v Exeter City
Carlisle United v Northampton Town
Crawley Town v Morecambe
Dagenham & Redbridge v York City
Leyton Orient v Luton Town
Mansfield Town v Yeovil Town
Newport County v Wycombe Wanderers
Notts County v Bristol Rovers
Plymouth Argyle v Oxford United
Stevenage v Portsmouth

With Plymouth and Oxford locking horns, league leaders Northampton could stretch their lead at the top of Sky Bet League 2 when they visit Carlisle.

Accrington are another club aiming for automatic promotion, but go to an in-form Wimbledon who have lost just two of their last 10 meetings.

Leyton Orient – one of three teams in the top seven on 53 points – host Luton, while Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers go on the road to Stevenage and Notts County respectively.

Towards the other end, Hartlepool and Yeovil, who currently sit directly above the aforementioned Dagenham and York, are at Barnet and Mansfield, as they bid to stretch the gap between themselves and the bottom two.

In the division’s remaining fixtures, Newport - now eight points clear of relegation - host Play-Off chasing Wycombe, while Cambridge host Exeter and Morecambe make the trip to Crawley.
