Sky Bet League 1: Matchday 38 review

25 March 2016

Colchester United moved off the bottom of Sky Bet League 1 on matchday 38 with a 4-1 win over Doncaster Rovers.

A fantastic second half display saw Kevin Keen's side come from 1-0 down to record a crucial victory which gives the U's hope of avoiding relegation, while Doncaster are still without a win since early January.

Wigan Athletic showed their promotion credentials by defeating S‌windon Town 4-1, Will Grigg scoring twice, while Peterborough United survived heavy first-half pressure to beat Coventry City 3-1. Both matches were live on Sky Sports.

Blackpool drew 1-1 with Bury at Bloomfield Road with the same scoreline being played out between Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale.

Rochdale recorded a convincing 4-1 victory over fellow Play-Off hopefuls Southend United with Sheffield United securing a narrow 3-2 win over Crewe Alexandra.

Barnsley drew 0-0 with Scunthorpe United at Oakwell, dropping out of the Play-Off places after Bradford defeated Millwall on Sunday afternoon.
