Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month nominations - February

9 March 2016

The nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month award for February.

Gary Caldwell (Wigan Athletic)

Caldwell's calm shrewdness has built momentum at Wigan with impeccable timing this season. February was the month in which his side broke into the automatic promotion places with 10 points from a possible 12 and a 7-1 goal differential.

Paul Heckingbottom (Barnsley)

Taking over a side which had won its previous six league games brings its own pressures, but Heckingbottom made the transition from Lee Johnson appear seamless, garnering 10 points from his first five games in charge at Oakwell.

John Sheridan (Oldham Athletic)

If there is a man you need to restore order and turn around a slump, it is John Sheridan. A Sky Bet League 2 nominee in November when at Newport County, he guided relegation-threatened Oldham to nine points from five unbeaten games in February.

Luke Williams (Swindon Town)

Williams' impact at the County Ground since taking over has been louder than his presence. Content to let his coaching do the talking, his side smoothly collected 10 points from five games to move clear of the relegation battle.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
