The EFL Cup is back – and the two Round One fixtures to be broadcast live on Sky Sports have been announced.Luton Town versus Aston Villa will be screened on Wednesday 10th August 2016, with Bristol Rovers' home clash with Cardiff City taking place the following evening.
In a first for British football, this season's first round draw was streamed via Facebook Live, and the balls threw up plenty of intriguing ties to kick-off the 2016/17 competition.

Aston Villa, recently relegated to the Sky Bet Championship, will travel to Luton Town of Sky Bet League Two in the first of the selections.
The Hatters eliminated Championship opposition at this stage last year, cruising to a 3-1 win over Bristol City. Premier League outfit and eventual semi-finalists Stoke City were then taken all the way to penalties in Round Two, so a daunting task awaits the Villans at Kenilworth Road.
On Thursday night, Bristol Rovers will take on Cardiff City in what promises to be a thrilling game in the West Country.
Darrell Clarke has guided the Pirates to successive promotions and will come up against new Cardiff head coach Paul Trollope, who spent six years at the Memorial Ground in a playing and managing capacity.
All 35 EFL Cup Round One matches take place in the week commencing 8th August 2016.
