Social media reaction to Manchester City's Capital One Cup triumph over Everton

Manchester City fought back from behind to defeat Everton and progress to the 2016 Capital One Cup Final, and the City players took to social media to express their delight!

Everton held a 3-1 aggregate lead at one point in the tie but City staged a fantastic comeback to win 4-3, and defender Nicolas Otamendi tweeted an image of the City celebrations, as he looks ahead to his first Final in English football.

The crucial goal came from a reliable source - Sergio Aguero - and the Argentine striker relived the moment that sent City to Wembley on his Instagram account, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Aguero's international compatriot Pablo Zabaleta paid tribute to the Manchester City faithful, who will head back to Wembley to see if the club can lift the trophy for the fourth time in their history.

Francis Lee, a club legend who played for City during the first of their League Cup triumphs, was proud of the performance, and it seems a rather famous fan is looking forward to a trip to the national stadium too...

Everton put up a great fight over the two legs, and the club thanked their travelling faithful for their support as they narrowly missed out on next month's showpiece.

The Final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 28th February. Manchester City fans will be seated in the East End of the stadium, with approximately 31,500 seats allocated.
