The nominations for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month award for December.
Gareth Evans (Portsmouth)His four goals in four December games included a vital headed equaliser at promotion rivals Northampton Town. A tireless worker, he willingly used his pace and crossing ability to fashion chances for others.
John Lundstram (Oxford United)
The 21-year-old has found his feet since arriving from Everton in August. The focal point of the Oxford midfield, his distribution and support play were supplemented with a lovely controlled 20-yard finish in the 3-0 win over Exeter City.
Jason McCarthy (Wycombe Wanderers)
McCarthy showed his versatility by moving from centre-back to full-back during December and formed a dynamic partnership with Michael Harriman on the right. Positionally sound and calm in possession, he found time and space to score the winner over Oxford United.
Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers)
A second nomination this season for the industrious forward Taylor. He added a composed finish for the winner over York City to a hat-trick against Wycombe Wanderers, which included a piledriver of a free-kick, and two assists against Dagenham & Redbridge.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
