Sky Bet League 2: Matchday 26 review

9 January 2016

Sky Bet League 2 produced three home wins from as many games as Barnet, Crawley Town and Mansfield Town registered their first victories of 2016.

Adam Murray's Mansfield moved to within a point of the Sky Bet League 2 Play-Off positions following a 2-1 win over Stevenage.

Goals from Chris Clements and James Baxendale helped clinch all three points for the Stags, with Armand Gnanduillet pulling a goal back late on for the hosts.

Elsewhere, a fifth-minute goal from Gavin Hoyte proved enough to seal a 1-0 victory for Barnet in their match against Bristol Rovers.

Martin Allen's side rise to 15th in the standings despite playing with 10 men for the majority of the second half, after Andy Yiadom was dismissed for a foul on Stuart Sinclair.

Crawley Town completed a trio of home wins in Sky Bet League 2, narrowly beating Cambridge United 1-0.

Matt Harrold's 32nd-minute strike proved the difference between the two sides, and the Reds moved to within two points of their opponents as a result.
