The nominations for the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month award for December.Tom Aldred (Blackpool)
His no-nonsense, heart-on-sleeve style of defending earns him hero status at Bloomfield Road. Did everything in the 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic, which included heading the only goal and was superb again to keep out free-scoring Peterborough United.
Adam Chambers (Walsall)
An immense presence as Walsall adjusted to life without former manager Dean Smith. He was the glue that held his side together, protecting a back four that conceded just one goal all month and driving forward to start attacks.
Jon McLaughlin (Burton Albion)
Three clean sheets in five games only tell half the story of his epic month. Commanding in his area, he saved a penalty against Doncaster Rovers and then ensured a 1-0 win over Swindon Town with two acrobatic wonder saves.
Andy Williams (Doncaster Rovers)
A second successive nomination for the 29-year-old. As well as his all-round play in the penalty area, his wonderfully inventive drag back and finish against Oldham Athletic was the pick of his four goals in as many games.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
