Sky Bet Championship: Matchday 25 review

2 January 2016

Middlesbrough won the battle of the top two to extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.

The clash with Derby County remained goalless until the 83rd minute, but quickfire efforts from Albert Adomah and George Friend handed Boro the points.

The two teams below them were in action on New Year's Day and had contrasting fortunes - Hull City defeated QPR, while Brighton lost at Wolves.
