Sheffield United mount comeback to draw at Wigan Athletic

12 January 2016

Sheffield United fought back from 3-0 down to take a point in a thrilling Sky Bet League 1 match against Wigan Athletic.

The Latics held a three-goal advantage in the 66th minute after strikes from Will Grigg, Haris Vuckic and Chris McCann.

But Matt Done got a goal back before Billy Sharp made it 3-2. Then Done hit another, in the 89th minute, to earn the Nigel Adkins' Blades a point.

Elsewhere, at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry City and Walsall drew 1-1.

Chris Stokes had the Sky Blues in front just after the half-hour mark, only for Tom Bradshaw to hit an 81st-minute leveller.

The result saw third-placed Walsall stay a point ahead of Coventry, and one point behind Gillingham, who are second.
