Review: Liverpool reach Capital One Cup Final after penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City

26 January 2016

Liverpool became the first team to reach the 2016 Capital One Cup Final courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City at Anfield.

Stoke won the match 1-0 across 120 minutes, after Marko Arnautovic netted on the stroke of half-time for the Potters.

That saw the score level at 1-1 on aggregate, following Jordon Ibe’s first-leg winner at the Britannia Stadium three weeks ago.
